Upon
completion of the field inspection and reviewing information provided by Snowcap Coal, it is Mike's initial
assessment that there is not imminent danger of failure at the sealed /backfilled portals. Mike will prepare a
more detailed report and submit it to Snowcap Coal Company and J.E. Stover and Associates, Inc. by
tomorrow afternoon, which we will share with the DRMS upon receipt. Feel free to contact me with any
questions. I will be going out to the site first thing in the morning to monitor the situation and will keep you
informed.
Tonya Hammond
From: Berry - DNR, David [ maiIto:david.berry @state.co.us]
Sent: Wednesday, June 18, 2014 3:27 PM
To: Tonya Hammond
Cc: Daniel Hernandez - DNR; Mike Boulay - DNR; Jim Stover
Subject: Re: Sough Portal - Roadside Mine
Thank you Tonya.
I will also forward this information to our Director, and she will be briefing our Executive Director's Offcie
David
On Wed, Jun 18, 2014 at 3:22 PM, Tonya Hammond <tonya.snowcap @bresnan.net> wrote:
Dave,
I was out at the site this morning to monitor the water seepage /discharge from the reclaimed South Portal
