They have permission to seal some of the holes on
site. They do not have permission to seal the water monitoring
wells that are in their permit application package (PAP) water
monitoring section. These still need to be monitored.
After holes at Southfield are sealed, EFCI is required to update
the PAP with the drill hole abandonment reports (see Section
2.05.4 of the PAP). These reports should indicate if groundwater
was encountered. George, please indicate if you disagree.
George, can you provide us with a status of your sealing
operations? If so, please include the holes that will be sealed
(and any that have already been sealed if applicable) this
summer and autumn and an approximate timeline for sealing
each.
Thank you,
Rob
Rob ,.
Environmental Protection
Coal Regulatory
COLORADO
Division of Recta nn.ation, A17 Mining and safety
Departrrieent of Nal.ural Resources
303.866.3567, extension 3113 I F 303.832.8106
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203
rob.zuber@state.co.us I http: / /mining.state.co.us
On Thu, Sep 4, 2014 at 10:41 AM, Linda Saunders
<saunders615 @live.com> wrote:
Was there water in the
water monitoring
boreholes on our property?
https: / /mail.googl e.com /m ai I /u/0 / ?ui =2 &i k= e29129fcb5 &view =pt &search= i nbox &th= 149bf8abO5c2e640 &si m l= 149bf8abO5c2e640 4/5
