Jim Riddle was on site reclaiming the sediment pond
but didn't accompany DRMS in the inspection. Weather conditions were clear and the temperature around seventy
degrees fahrenheit with ground conditions dry. During September a large precipitation event occured in the area
aound the Munger Canyon Mine permit. It was documented at the McClane Canyon Mine, located adjacent to the
Munger Canyon, recieved approximately 2 inches of rain in a 24 hour period. At the time of the inspection, the
company was currently removing culverts and reclaiming the sediment pond as part of their reclamation plan.
BACKFILL and GRADING — Rule 4.14
Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f);
Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6:
Jim Riddle was currently backfilling the sediment pond. With the final decision of TR -25, CAM Mining, LLC is
approved to fully reclaim the only sediment pond on site. The pond was approximately 70% backfilled at the time
of the inspection.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Multiple culverts had been removed from under the remaining haul road. At the time of the inspection, one culvert
remained just east of the sediment pond. The Munger Creek crossing culvert had also been removed. The company
currently had graded the bank of the creek to allow equipment and truck access to the sediment pond.
As noted in the Backfilling and Grading section, CAM Mining, LLC is currently in the process of reclaiming the
remaining sediment pond on site.
