The Application was filed for review on October 3, 2014. Our review indicates the
NOI application contains deficiencies as defined by Rule 5.1.3 of the Mineral Rules and
Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Hard Rock, Metal, and
Designated Mining Operations. The Division requires the information described below before we
can approve the NOI application.
1. Please describe the secondary containment which will be used for the generator's fuel tank.
2. The Applicant stated that Appendix A contains information regarding legal right of entry
onto the claims where the proposed drilling will take place. The Division did not find any
information included in Appendix A. Please respond.
3. The Applicant provided a picture from 2011 of the closure on the Hock Hocking Mine.
Please confirm that there is still a door in place which can be secured to prevent unauthorized
entry during the proposed prospecting operations.
4. The Applicant is proposing to conduct fluid drilling in the workings of the Hock Hocking
Mine. Please address the following questions regarding the drilling program:
a. Identify the fluid(s) and any chemicals which will be used for drilling and specify the
volume of any chemicals to be stored on site.
b. Specify how the drill cuttings will be disposed.
c. Specify how the drilling fluid will be contained.
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http: / /mining.state.co.us
John W.
