Project Number: 74201125NO <br />Project: Squaw Gulch Valley Leach Fill (VLF) Week Ending: October 25, 2014 <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine, CO <br />Contractor: Ames Construction, Inc. <br />Reporting Period: 10.19.2014 through 10.25.2014 <br />Ambient Temperature Ranges During Week Weather Conditions During Week: <br />Highs: 53 °F to 66 °F Cloud Cover: Partly cloudy to overcast <br />Lows: 34 °F to 41 °F Precipitation: None <br />Wind: Variable <br />Ames: Continuing construction tasks for the Valley Leach Facility (VLF). <br />Planning: Continuing construction activities and scheduling for the VLF. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND PROGRESS: <br />1) Earthworks <br />A) VLF (PSSA, Phase 1, and 2) <br />Topsoil /Overburden Stripping: None. <br />Tree Grubbing and Clearing, Chipping: None. <br />Production Drilling: No production drilling occurred in the VLF. <br />Production Blasting: No production blasting took place within the VLF. <br />Structural Fill: <br />An AMEC field professional monitored fill material temperature placed within the fill areas. <br />Average structural fill temperatures were above 32 °F. All structural fill material discussed below <br />was placed in a maximum nominal thickness of 3 feet and compacted per the project technical <br />specifications unless otherwise stated. <br />Material was hauled from the Surge area located east of Phase 2 Diversion Channel Station <br />50 +00 and placed and compacted as structural fill upslope of Bench K stations K38 +00 to <br />K40 +00 and upslope of Bench J stations J10 +00 to J12 +00. A Cat hammer hoe was utilized to <br />break any oversized rock encountered. (Day and Night Shift). <br />Cat dozers were slope grading above ADR haul road station 15 +00.
