Compliance With Mine Plan-Support Facilities Not On-site <br />RN <br />-Other-Special Categories Of Mining <br />RR <br />-Processing Waste-Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a complete inspection of the Bowie No. 2 Mine conducted by Susan Burgmaier and Dan Hernandez of <br />CDRMS. Bill Bear andGary Harding of Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) wereinterchangeably present during the <br />entire site inspection, and Tamme Bishop of JEStover & Associates was present during the second day of the <br />inspection. Weather during the inspection was clear and warm, but the area had received a considerable amount of <br />rain the weekend preceding the inspection. Ground conditions were primarily dry, with higher elevations muddy <br />in places. <br />The Bowie No. 2 Mine is an active mine; BRL is currently mining coal from the B Seam, and hasjust moved the <br />longwall to the western end of Panel 16. Refuse was being hauled to Gob Piles #2 and #3. Reclamation of Gob <br />Pile #4 was underway. Coal from the Elk Creek Mine was being hauled to the D Portal Bench, where it was being <br />mixed, washed and sold with coal from the Bowie No. 2 Mine. A train was being loaded at the Unit Train <br />Loadout on the afternoon of October16, 2014. <br />In addition to a complete inspection of all facilities, roads, ponds, and refuse areas, the following gob vent <br />borehole (GVB) locations were inspected: GVB-B16D, -B16C, -B16B, -B16A, -B15D, -B15C, -B15B,-B15A, - <br />D8-A/-D9-A, -9E/-8B, -10E/-10U-1,-B17E, -B14A, -B14B, -B14C, -B14D, and -B14E. Exploration holes DH-66 <br />and 2014-SS-B and monitoring well 67blw were also inspected. <br />boldUnless <br />Several maintenance issues and permitting directives are presented throughout this report, in text. <br />otherwise noted, these issuesshould be addressed within two weeks of issuance of this report. <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION –Rule 4.17: <br />Little or no fugitive dust was observed anywhere on the mine site.
