October 15, 2014 C- 1981 - 010 /Trapper Mine JLE <br />this area. Cheatgrass and Tumble Mustard were observed on this parcel, however it appear the desired species are <br />becoming well established on this parcel. Overall, it appears vegetation has established in this area to support the <br />post mine land use. Rills and gullies were not observed on this parcel. <br />The 2.2 acre Z -A -10 parcel was observed. This parcel is shrub clump SC -Z -10. Big Sagebrush, Rubber <br />Rabbitbrush and Saltbush appears to be the dominant shrubs present. A dense stand of perennial grasses have <br />established such as various Wheatgrasses, Sheep Fescue, and Kentucky Bluegrass. Various forb species were <br />observed, the dominant being Western Yarrow. Overall, it appears vegetation has established in this area to <br />support the post mine land use. Rills and gullies were not observed on this parcel. <br />Parcels F- AB -07, F- AB -08, F -AB -09 and F -A -10 are 38.3, 49.8, 31.0 and 15 acres in size respectively. The <br />Division traversed across all of these parcels in a zig -zag pattern starting at the southeast portion of parcel F -A -10 <br />and walked in a general north direction ending at the northern end of Parcel F- AB -07. The topsoil depth of parcel <br />F -AB -07 was evaluated during the Division's October 24, 2007 inspection and found to be 16.0 inches on average. <br />The topsoil depth of parcel F -AB -08 was evaluated during the Division's October 22, 2008 inspection and found <br />to be 13.0 inches on average. The topsoil depth of parcel F -AB -09 was evaluated during the Division's November <br />11, 2009 inspection as well as the Division's August 15, 2013 inspection and found to be 13.5 inches on average. <br />The topsoil depth of parcel F -A -10 was evaluated during the Division's August 15, 2013 inspection and found to <br />be 12.5 inches on average. Dense vegetation has established on all of these parcels. The dominant perennial <br />grasses observed were various Wheatgrass species, Basin Wildrye, Sheep Fescue, and Kentucky Bluegrass. The <br />dominant annual species observed was Cheatgrass in the 2010 parcels; however it became sparser in the 2009, <br />2008 and 2007 parcels. Perennial forbs observed were Western Yarrow, Cicer Milkvetch and Alfalfa. Shrubs <br />species were also fairly numerous, the dominant species noted was Big Sagebrush and Rubber Rabbitbrush. <br />Several small bare areas where observed where it appears cows had used the area as a wallow. These areas were <br />few in number. Trapper has removed the contour ditches that has been installed across these parcels. Overall, it <br />appears vegetation has established in this area to support the post mine land use. It appears small rills had formed <br />in various locations throughout these parcels but have since stabilized with vegetation.
