The conveyor system feeding the silo which is the truck
dump up to the place where the coal dumps into the silo has 4 spray
systems with a consumptive use as follows:
Spray System details 1 Spray
Spray Details Misters 0.5 gpm/spray
Consumption per system - 20 hour shift 600 gallons
4 Spray Systems 2,400 gallons
Consumption -acre feet for 355 Shifts 2.6
The train loadout system has one spray system. Approximately 500
trains will be loaded per year based on 5.0 million tons per year. Each
train is loaded in 2 hours or less.
LJ
Spray System details 3 Sprays
Spray Details 1.6 gpm/spray
Consumption per system - 2 hour train 576 gallons
1 Spray System 576 gallons
Consumption -acre feet for 500 trains 0.9
In summary, the additional depletion of Colorado River Basin water
caused by mining at the Bowie No.2 Mine will be increased by:
Pond Evaporation 0.9 AC-FT
Dust Suppression at Truck Dump to Silos 2.6 AC-FT
Dust Suppression at Train Loadout 0.9 AC-FI-
4.4 AC-FT
This permit revision will increase the estimated consumptive use of
water by the Bowie No. 2 Mine and therefore depletion of Colorado
River water from 236.6 to 241.0 AC-FT per year. However, a
corresponding decrease will be experienced in the Bowie No. 1 Mine
permit.
i
TR-20
2.04 - 32 3101
