Should a defect be suspected, assemble the <br />sampling head to the motor, install a filter for resistance, <br />and apply a soap solution to the suspect problem aiea. Dis- <br />assemble the sampling head and examine the inside of the <br />head for the presence of soap solution. If the soap solution <br />is present inside the sampling head a leak is present. Repair <br />or discard the sampler head. <br />7.5 Motor Gaskets <br />Two gaskets are employed with each sampler. The top <br />gasket is approximately 3/16-inch thick rubber and the bottom <br />gasket is approximately 3/4-inch thick foam rubber. Both <br />should be inspected for wear and replaced if necessary. <br />7.6 Flow Transducer and Recorder <br />~~ <br />C <br />There is no routine maintenance required with respect <br />. to this device. Should a malfunction occur-, it should be <br />replaced with a new recorder. <br />
