September 17, 2014 C- 1981 - 018 /Deserado Mine ZTT <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />Degas boreholes during reclamation and active stages were a primary focus of this inspection. Majority of these <br />pads during this inspection were found along the western end of the permit. The following drill pads were <br />inspected: <br />LW137 -1, LW137 -2, LWB10 -1, LW1310 -2, LWB11 -1, LW1312 -1, LWB12 -IA, LWB13 -1 and LWB13 -2 <br />Pad sites that have been reclaimed and sealed include LW137 -1, 7 -2, 10 -1, 10 -2 and 11 -1. These sites have good <br />vegetation cover and no erosion was present on the sites. Compared to the surrounding area, vegetation on each <br />pad is very successful. Cheatgrass (downy brome) infests the surrounding undisturbed BLM land but is sparse or <br />nonexistent within all the reclaimed pads inspected. It appears to the Division that vandalism has occurred the seal <br />and marker on LWB 10 -2. The concrete seal was smashed and removed from the borehole pipe and the marker was <br />missing. <br />Pad sites 12 -1 and 12 -1A boreholes were covered but not sealed. Scott Wanstedt stated that these sites were no <br />longer active and is on the schedule for sealing and reclamation this fall. <br />The remaining sites 13 -1 and 13 -2 were active. No issues were observed with these sites. <br />LWB10 -2 with missing marker. Reclaimed pad LWB11 -1 with cheatgrass in undisturbed. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />Permit identification sign was inspected along the northern permit boundary and County Road 65. Permit Revision <br />48 expanded the mine's permit boundary further north.
