September 9, 2014 C-1994-082/Yoast Mine JHB

Ponds on the west side of the permit area were not accessed due to the rain and muddiness of the access road.
Ponds 12 and 13 were holding water. Pond 14 was not observed.

ROADS Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3)
Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)
Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)
Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
The site was accessed from the main Access road from RCR No. 27. The access road was in good
conditions but muddy in spots due to the wet conditions. SCC has completed repairs along the access road for
gully repair, and rip rap placement. These repairs are acceptable.

Access road LU3A was driveable and not too soft from the rain. SCC has completed repairs to the outfall of the
stock tank outfall at drianage YPM-8. SCC has installed additional rock at the location where the fabric was
undercutting. This repair appears effective and is an acceptable repair.

SCC has graded the ditch along LU3 and LU2.(Photo). This maintenance is acceptable.

RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
Shrub plot SP-6-1 southern fence was partially knocked down allowing larger ungulates access to the
shrub plot. There was evidence that some minor browsing has occurred within this plot. However, the shrubs and
trees appear to be large enough at this stage to withstand the browsing pressure. DRMS does not see a need to
repair this fence. The observed shrub species within this fenced shrub plot, Serviceberry, Snowberry, Sagebrush
and Antelope bitterbrush averaged between 18 inches and 2.5 feet tall.(Photo)

DOCUMENTS RECEIVED NA
OTHER (SPECIFY) NA

ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE

No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending.

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1

35
Page of
