Katryna Snowden of SCC accompanied the
inspection. The weather was raining. The mine site was wet and muddy. The area has received rain over the last
week. The roads were muddy and soft. Light use roads draining to the west were not driven due to the muddy
conditions.
FISH and WILDLIFE Rule 4.18:
Blue grouse were observed at the top of the reclaimed north pit. Three Columbian sharp tailed grouse
were flushed to the east of Shrub plot SP06-1.

HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Pond 010 was inspected. The embankment is well vegetated. SCC plans to enact weed control measures
on the Jointed goatgrass patches on the embankment this fall. Jointed goatgrass is a winter annual, so fall
treatment is recommended by the local weed agency.

Pond 010 was discharging 0,01 on the staff gauge. SCC had noted some bank cutting near the Pond 010 riser, so
bentonite was used to seal up this area. The bentonite appears to be working effectively.

Pond 11A was accessed. SCC has completed repairs to the inlet of pond 11A and YPM-9. This area has been
shaped, and rip-rapped. This repair appears that it should hold up to heavy runoff conditions. Pond 11A was not
discharging, but was holding a pool of water approximately 1 foot below the discharge elevation on the riser.

Stock tank ST-1 was holding a pool of water but was not discharging. Drainage YPM 1-1 was walked to its end
southward. All previously noted gabions have now been appropriately wired shut.

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1

25
Page of
