Compliance With Mine Plan-Support Facilities Not On-site <br />NNA <br />-Other-Special Categories Of Mining <br />RR <br />-Processing Waste-Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a partial inspection of the King Coal Mine conducted on Thursday, September 11, 2014 <br />by Marcia Talvitie of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. The date and time was <br />set in advance, in order to accomplisha site meeting between GCC personnel(Tom Bird and <br />Wade Wymore),GCC’sconsultants (Trautner Geotech and Stoner Engineering),and the <br />Division. <br />Skies were clear,withtemperatures inthe upper 70s.The area received some precipitation two <br />days prior to the inspection. <br />PERMITTING UPDATE: <br />TR-20 <br />King I Coal Mine WasteBackfill –Dave Trautner, from Trautner Geotech, met usat the <br />King I site to discuss the project and GCC’spending responseto the Division’s Adequacy <br />th <br />Review of the application. The Decision Date has been extended to Sept. 30. <br />th <br />TR-23 <br />Increase Rate of Production –Theapplication was called Complete on Sept. 5.GCC’s <br />th <br />public notice was scheduled to appear in the Sept. 9edition of the Durango Herald, which <br />th <br />means the period for public comment would extend through Sept. 19.The Division notified <br />various Federal, State and Local agencies of the application’s completeness, with the request that <br />rd <br />any comments be submitted by Sept. 23.All comments received from the public or entities will <br />be transmitted immediately to GCC.
