The following inspection tonics were identified as having Problems or Possible Violations. OPERATORS
SHOULD READ THE FOLLOWING PAGES CAREFULLY IN ORDER TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE
WITH THE TERMS OF THE PERMIT AND APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS. If a
Possible Violation is indicated, you will be notified under separate cover as to when the Mined Land
Reclamation Board will consider possible enforcement action.
INSPECTION TOPIC: Hydrologic Balance
PROBLEM: Based on DRMS' knowledge of the area, surrounding permitted operations and the activities
taking place within in the approved permit boundary (backfilling, slurry wall and compacted clay liner), DRMS
believes there is a potential for adverse impact on the prevailing hydrologic balance (mounding and shadowing).
CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: The Operator shall submit a Groundwater Monitoring Plan. The Groundwater
Monitoring Plan shall be submitted as a Technical Revision, with the required $216 revision fee. The
Groundwater Monitoring Plan shall contain the following:
a. Monitoring wells both upgradient and downgradient from the 120th Estate Partners pit,
b. The plan shall adequately identify well locations, and the top of casing elevations,
c. minimum sampling frequency of quarterly , and
d. The results of the monitoring plan shall be submitted each year along with the annual report.
