August 13, 2014 C- 1980 - 005 /Seneca II Mine JDM <br />Pond 008 <br />The four USGS groundwater wells located at the end of the SIIPM -8 drainage were opened and flowing. <br />Although the wells are not associated with the Seneca II Mine monitoring program, the wells are located within <br />the permit boundary and will require sealing. <br />At the time of the inspection the Seneca II Mine had not been approved to terminate water monitoring at the site. <br />Groundwater wells GW- S41 -W, GW- S41-LW 1, GW- S68 -A, and SFAL72 are associated with the groundwater <br />monitoring plan. These wells remain active and un- reclaimed at the time of the inspection. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)14.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.031. 1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />Roads within the lands requested for release include the south road, the south road B to Pond 008, and Road C. <br />All roads within the requested release area have been approved for permanent retention. <br />All roads were stable at the time of the inspection with no problems noted. No rutting or down cutting was evident <br />during the inspection. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The overall condition of the Phase III bond release reclamation was good. The reclamation area showed good <br />vegetation cover with no excessive invasive or noxious vegetation within the parcel. No major problems with <br />damage, potential damage, erosion or potential erosion were identified at the time of the inspection. <br />Based on the inspection, SL- 6 will not require any maintenance or repair work. The any on -site ground water <br />wells will require sealing and removal. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The establishment of vegetation was visually inspected to determine its support of the post mining land use of <br />grazing and wildlife habitat. Based on this visual on the ground inspection, Seneca II Mine's vegetation cover and <br />shrub density are acceptable and good species diversity was identified and no problems were noted.
