Please
find listed below answers to the seven questions you asked CC&V regarding the purpose and
process of the movement.
1) Brief description of operation, purpose, and chemical/hazardous nature of spent ore
being transported (be sure of include the volume of ore, equipment to be used, and
description of containment);
Spent ore is to be hauled from the certified lined area of Phase IV of the Arequa Gulch Valley
Leach Facility(AGVLF)to the certified lined Process Solution Storage Area(PSSA) of the
Squaw Gulch Valley Leach Facility(SGVLF). The purpose is to provide material needed to
meet the engineering requirements for stabilization of the SGVLF PSSA riser pipes and build the
Adsorption, Desorption, Recovery Facility(ADR2)platform to yard grade. Commencement of
the operation will be contingent upon certification of the SGVLF PSSA liner.
The operation will require moving 1.75 million tons of ore previously leached by sodium
cyanide (spent ore) a distance of 11,200 feet, of which 9,200 feet traverses unlined area.
