(GP) requests a revision to their existing permit to address the following 2 items: <br /> 1. Exhibit C— Pre-Mining/Mining Plan <br /> a. Revision of the mine phasing. <br /> 2. Exhibit L— Reclamation Costs <br /> a. Revision of the financial warranty required for the reclamation of each phase of mining. <br /> Detailed descriptions of these revisions are in the following sections. <br /> Exhibit C—Pre-Mining/Mining Plan <br /> Revision of mine phasing <br /> Phase 1A is being revised to include all of the following: <br /> 1. Surface mining of the top 10 to 12 feet of material above the groundwater table of the Phase <br /> 1 area. <br /> 2. The disturbance and stockpiling of materials in the Phases 2 through 4 areas. <br /> 3. The disturbance and stockpiling of materials in the Phase 13 area. <br /> 4. The disturbance and stockpiling of materials in the temporary topsoil/overburden stockpile <br /> area in the southeast corner of the mine. <br /> Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs <br /> GP requests a reduction of the required financial warranty for the slurry wall liner to 20% of the cost <br /> to install the slurry wall under the regulated construction option detailed in the "Guide to <br /> Specification Preparation for Slurry Walls and Clay Liners as a Component of a Colorado Mined <br /> Land Reclamation Permit", and a revision to the financial warranty required for the reclamation of <br /> each phase of mining to reflect the revised mine phasing. <br /> 1. GP has recently completed the construction of the first section of slurry wall around Phases <br /> 1 through 4, with leak testing of this section of the wall to occur in the near future.
