July 28, 2014 C -1981- 038 /Bowie No. 1 Mine BFB <br />At the East Mine, the south side of the main access road, east of the main gate, was dominated by annuals <br />such as cheatgrass, prickly lettuce and tumble mustard (photo 6). There are a few perennials that were noted: <br />Lewis' flax, cicer milkvetch and thickspike wheatgrass. Jointed goatgrass (Colorado noxious weed, Class B list) <br />was growing where the old refuse pile pond road and the main access road intersect (photos 7 & 8). <br />The vegetation along Steven's Creek in the ROM area looks really good.
