The Division received comments from the Division of Water Resources, Colorado Parks and <br /> Wildlife and History Colorado for the initial conversion application and from History <br /> Colorado for the conversion amendment application. The letters are attached for <br /> review. Please address the comments noted in the letters and make any changes to the <br /> application as necessary. <br /> 6.4 SPECIFIC EXHIBIT REQUIREMENTS— REGULAR 112 OPERATIONS <br /> The following items must be addressed by the Applicant in order to satisfy the requirements of <br /> C.R.S. 34-32.5-101 et sec. and the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Mined Land <br /> Reclamation Board <br /> 6.4.3 Exhibit C- Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Maps of Affected Land <br /> 4. Please provide the existing topography of the conversion area with contour lines of <br /> sufficient detail to portray the direction and rate of slope of the affected land on Exhibit C - <br /> Pre-Mining Plan map. <br /> 5. Please indicate the planned topsoil stockpile locations on the Mining Plan map. <br /> 6.4.4 Exhibit D - Mining Plan <br /> 6. Please state if the Applicant intends to operate the site continuously or if the Division <br /> should consider the site an "intermittent operation" as defined in C.R.S 34-32.5-103(11)(b). <br /> 7. Please update the second sentence of the Mining Plan to state Grand Gravel Pit, LLC would <br /> like to expand the existing operational footprint to 46.41 acres, instead of the previously <br /> proposed 41 acres. <br /> 8. Please update the narrative in the Mining Plan to include the revised 6 phase mining <br /> approach due to the addition of the amendment acreage (5.41 acres). <br /> 9. Please confirm no incidental products will be mined or extracted by the proposed <br /> operation. <br /> 10. Please confirm no explosives will be used in conjunction with the mining or reclamation. <br /> 6.4.5 Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan <br /> 11. The Applicant states the high walls will be laid back at a 3:1 back slope during <br /> reclamation. Please provide additional details on how the final 3HAV slope will be achieved <br /> by the Applicant. <br /> During the original Conversion Applicant Pre-Operational inspection, the option of <br /> committing to mining the final slopes at 3HAV was discussed to reduce the amount to <br />
