NORTHGATEWAY PARK <br /> DEVELOPMENT PROPOSALS <br /> Plan <br /> PROPOSED ACTIONS FOR NORTHGATEWAY PARK <br /> FOR <br /> RE-VEGETATION AND STRUCTURAL PLACEMENT <br /> January 8, 2014 <br /> The Northgate Park of Lamar is situated north of the City of Lamar, <br /> Colorado on Highway 287/50. These ponds are on the East side of the <br /> highway and run adjacent to and south of the Arkansas River. <br /> Colorado Parks and Wildlife will partner with the City of Lamar, <br /> concerning the management of Northgate Park as a source of <br /> recreation,watchable wildlife, and fishing opportunities. <br /> • Map: A map of Northgate Park Pond 1,3,& 4 will be attached <br /> showing the proposed accessed public areas. This map will show <br /> permanent and temporary boundaries concerning use of Pond 1,3, & <br /> 4. A legend will be added to clarify the map. <br /> • Parking Lots: Parking lots will be established at Pond 1,3,&4 in order <br /> to accommodate the public. Capped pipe and steel cable will be used <br /> to establish a parking area. Cable gate(s) with locks will be utilized <br /> to limit vehicle access as designated . Trash receptacles for public use <br /> will be provided at both parking lots. <br /> • Boat Ramps:Will be constructed; and used by the public and utilized <br /> by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Aquatic Biologist to gather <br /> aquatic information and monitoring of Pond(s), and fish habitat <br /> improvement. <br /> A. Conjoining ponds 3 and 4 would allow easier <br /> boat access, and save cost;Indicated on the <br /> proposal map and legend. <br />
