7)The History Colorado April 18, 2014 letter indicates there are no historical properties affected
by this reclamation. See attached confirmation email from the State Historic Preservation Officer
dated May 29, 2014. As the proposed operation involves the filling of a previously mined area,
we do not anticipate encountering any unidentified cultural resources during the operation.
8) We engaged the services of a consultant (URS) to perform a wetlands survey of the subject
area and enclose a copy of their draft report dated June 26, 2014. URS will address the
jurisdictional question raised on page 5 directly with the US Army Corps of Engineers staff.
9) Our consultant Bishop Brogden and Associates (BBA) has consulted with the Division of
Water Resources(DWR)with regard to the conditions for approval in their May 14, 2014 letter.
BBA will prepare a Substitute Water Supply Plan (SWSP) and submit an application for a well
permit to the DWR before July 14.
Finally, because items 8 and 9 above will not be completed until shortly before the decision
deadline date of July 14, 2014,please consider this letter as a formal extension of time request.
Please call Neil Thomson at (303) 537-3712 if you need more information or have further
questions about the application.
Sincerely,
r6-*X
Neil G. mson P.E.
Director of Engineering and Roadway Maintenance
E-470 Public Highway Authority
C123-REV 0/2013
