Box 459 <br />Florence, CO 81226 <br />RE: Southfield Mine, C- 1981 -014, RN -06, second adequacy letter <br />Dear Mr. Patterson: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has received your application for renewal of <br />EFCI's Southfield Mine permit and your responses to our adequacy concerns (your letter dated June 6, <br />2014). <br />Based on the Division's review of the materials submitted with the application for RN -06, a review of the <br />approved Permit, and your responses to our adequacy issues (letter of June 6 1h) , the Division has the <br />following adittional comments. The numbers correspond to our issues from our March 28, 2014 letter <br />(first Division adequacy letter for RN -06). <br />Some of the paragraphs added to the PAP text in EFCI's proposed revised pages do not go far enough to <br />minimize the confusion of the outdated text. Please see items 13, 17, and 18. <br />Issues Related to MT -06 <br />1. EFCI needs to continue to work toward an agreement regarding the Corley Company well. <br />2. No further action required for RN -06. <br />3. EFCI has not sealed wells MW -08 and MW -10; this needs to be completed and the PAP <br />updated accordingly. <br />Additional Issues <br />4. No further action required for RN -06. <br />5. No further action required for RN -06. <br />6. No further action required for RN -06. <br />7. No further action required for RN -06. <br />8. No further action required for RN -06. EFCI chose to not provide a more thorough discussion that <br />could alleviate confusion in the future. <br />9.
