June 24, 2014 C-1980-004/McClane Canyon Mine ZTT

It was noted in the previous inspection report that refuse had come close to overtopping the berm in the sediment
drying area. This material has been or pushed back and is no longer encroaching the ditch. No issues remain.

Refuse removed from berm area.

ROADS Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3)
Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)
Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)
Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
Rills and gullies have begun to form along the upper section of the haul road. General maintenance is needed on
the road section. A possible solution was discussed about regrading the road in such a manner to allow drainage to
be directed to the ditches rather than allowing flow to run down the face of the road.

SIGNS AND MARKERS Rule 4.02:
Mine identification sign was located at the entrance to the mine site. All information for compliance was present.

Topsoil markers have been reestablished on top of the piles.

TOPSOIL Rule 4.06
Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4:
Topsoil piles remain stable. No signs of slumping or erosion were observed. Topsoil pile marker that was knocked
has been replanted on top of the pile.

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 0
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4

58
Page of
