14 <br />EXHIBIT L <br />RECLAMATION COSTS <br />No in- hauling of fill material is planned in conjunction with the reclamation of the site. Final slopes shall <br />be achieved through grading of existing materials. The estimated cost to reclaim the site based on what <br />it would cost the State of Colorado using an independent contractor is $80,236. This esimate includes <br />filling, grading, topsoil application, seeding, mulching, fertilization and labor (see calculations below). <br />Grading and Placement of cover materials: Grading and excavation work in rural areas can typically be <br />contracted for $1.25 per yard or $120 per hour. <br />32.2 ac. x (0.5 ft. average overburden depth + 0.416 ft. topsoil depth) = 29.5 ac.ft. x 1,613.3 cy per ac.ft. <br />= 47,592 cu. yds x $1.25 /cu.yd. _ $59,490 <br />* (mining area not including road) <br />Re- seeding, mulching, fertilizer and labor: Colorado State University Extension estimates reseeding of <br />pastures can cost $100 per acre.
