0 2.05.3
During late 2008 a dewatering well approved through TR -53 was installed
in the D -Seam near the Mouth of Dove Gulch. Water from the well was
piped to the active B -Seam workings through the nearby ventilation shaft.
A pump powered by a diesel generator was installed in the well. A six
inch diameter water line was installed from the dewatering well to and into
the shaft. The 1,000 foot long water line was buried along the inside edge
of Hubbard Creek road.
Technical revision no. 52 provided for the installation of thirteen gob vent
holes over the next three years (2008 through 2011). MR -106 amended
the holes approved through TR -52 and added four additional holes. Since
the northeast mining district was essentially abandoned during 2009, only
nine of the seventeen the holes were drilled.
MR -92 provided for drilling GVB -8A -A during 2008. MR -100 provided for
drilling GVB -8A -B during 2009. Both holes are located on an existing drill
pad located near the mouth of Dove Gulch.
MR -105 provided for an additional gob vent hole GVB -8 -TG that was
installed during 2009 from a new drill pad located at the mouth of Dove
• Gulch.
TR -65 provides for a geotechnical hole to be drilled at a proposed shaft
site in Terror Creek. This hole will not likely be installed because the
proposed shaft in Terror Creek is to be moved to a more favorable
location.
L
MR -115 provides for the drilling of up to three geotechnical holes along
Terror Creek to select a site for a proposed shaft.
During 2012 eleven geotech holes approved through MR -88 will be drilled
west of the facilities area in a location identified as a potential coal mine
waste bank.
The expansion of the permit boundary to the west encompassed three drill
holes that were approved through Bowie No. 1 mine technical revisions.
Bowe -1 TR -41 approved BRL- 1 -03 -01 which was drilled in 2004. Bowie -
1 TR -49 approved BRL1 -08 -03 and BRL1- 08 -04. BRL1 -08 -04 was drilled
in 2008. BR1 -08 -03 will be drilled in two or three years (2012 to 2013).
Bowie -1, MR -125 approved GVB B1 OA and B1 0B were drilled in 2010.
MR -123 2.05-48- 04/11
A PPR dVED
