-Replace waddles at confluence of Terror Creek and W. Terror Creek
— Not yet complete
Weeds: BRL is hiring a subcontractor to spray weeds. Deadline for
completion is August 15
Thistle at Ponds K, J & Yard in the Sky
Whitetop at Pond J
Houndtounge at Yard in the sky & NW topsoil Pile A
Whitetop, Thistle & Cheatgrass at Topsoil pile A
Next, we looked at the GVB's — in the 12, 13, 14 series and 17E
(under construction). In general, waddles are performing as designed
however, all of the sites we visited need the waddles repaired or
replaced at the toe of the fill slopes. Gary has scheduled for
personnel to be working on each drill site, however, there is no date
yet for when the maintenance will be complete.
There are several sites located near GVB 14 -E that are near the
habitat of a hawk's nest and therefore, no work with heavy equipment
can be started until after July 31.
The cattle are a terrible nuisance to sedimentation control. They
relocate, eat and tear up the straw waddles and erosion control mat
that is in place. It is anticipated the cattle will continue grazing for 2 -3
more weeks.
2
