June 10, 2014 C- 1982 - 056 /Foidel Creek Mine JDM <br />Fish Creek Tipple Pond Weir <br />Pond E Sediment Delta <br />Maintenance items remaining from the May 22, 2014 coal partial inspection: <br />- Non -coal waste in the form of wooden blocks was observed throughout the edges of the Area 1 Pit. All non - <br />coal waste should be disposed of appropriately to ensure function of the Area 1 Pit discharge to Sedimentation <br />Pond D. <br />- Two unidentified —4" diameter pipes were observed from the Area 1 Pit, under the access road, and to the Pond <br />D embankment were observed. These pipes were not functioning at the time of the inspection with one housing <br />electrical cable stockpiled on the Pond D embankment and the other empty. If these pipes are required, <br />identification on appropriate maps is needed. If not required all non -coal waste will need to be disposed of. <br />- A gully from the access road between the Area 1 Pit and Pond D has formed from the road to Pond D near the <br />inlet of the Area 1 Pit. Maintenance will be required to repair the down - cutting of the gully. <br />- Although Pond D was low, a small delta has formed at the inlet of the culverts from RDA -3 and RDA -1. <br />Cleanout of this area may be required. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 10 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br />Page 4 of 13 <br />
