5// Z
7. Specify the source of the water and the estimated volume of water to be used.
Our plan is to drill using a rotary air-drill. We will be drilling with compressed air-
water not required. All potable water will be brought in by container, and all waste
water will be removed from the drill site(s).
8. Please clarify if'10,000 feet'refers to the elevation at which drilling will be conducted.
The 10,000 feet refers to the approximate elevation of the road to the drill pads.
9. Please confirm that the mill site claim is located on USES property. Also, specify the
number of sheds to be erected and provide the dimensions of the sheds as well as the
materials used to construct the sheds, i.e. corrugated metal, plywood, concrete blocks.
Since the structures will be used in conjunction with the prospecting operation, the
Division must bond for their removal. Finally, describe how the mill site claim is
accessed, is there an existing access road?
The mill site claim is located on Arapaho National Forest land, and is accessed by a
county road down the Snake River valley from Webster Pass to the town of
Montezuma. We will not be constructing or using sheds on the mill site claim,
instead bagging and transporting drill cuttings for study to a warehouse facility in
the town of Silverthorn.
We may want to use a small area of the mill site claim to temporarily store a cache of
supplies such as drill pipe, absorbent pads, and other consumables that will be taken
to the drill site for day-to-day operations. The absorbent pads and the consumables
will likely be stored in a locked trailer supplied by the drilling contractor- Nothing
we plan to store will need to be housed.
10. Please clarify how the existing drill holes on Webster Pass relate to the proposed Red
Cone project.
Drill hole #3 was put down from a pad at the end of the current road across the rock
glacier,to test for deep molybdenum and copper mineralization; the proposed
drilling will test for near-surface mineralization related to groundwater solution
and re-deposition (see paragraph #2 of response #3 above).
In short, there is no relation between prior drilling and the proposed project other
than spatial reference for geographic location purposes.
