K2T LLC
South Central Land & Mining LLC
19 May 2014
Page 9
Road Maintenance: Before the property is turned back to the property owners, the roads need to be
maintained so that they are passable without requiring a four wheel drive vehicle as they were
previously so that we will have full access to our property.
Response: the "roads " on the permit area are approved in the permit for Southfield as "light use "
roads to facilitate reclamation work. EFCI has and will maintain the "roads "for such use until the
reclamation is completed. EFCI is not required to provide full use roads for the Vento Trust
Group's or other landowners' use.
Item No. 11:
Final Report: We request that the field data sheets be included since there has been such a lack of
conformity to the planned and planted vegetation that Kent Croft does not plan to include according
to his Southfield 2012 Revegetation Monitoring report that was scanned on September 3, 2013. 1 am
also concerned that Mr Croft's GPS instrument's precision. Reference: Dr. Corley's response to
EFCI's memo dated 9/8/2013.
Response: The Revegetation Sample Report far 2012 was completed in conformance with
applicable regulatory requirements. I believe the possible GPS issues were resolved in the course
of the fieldwork for the 2013 Revegetation Sample Report.
Sincerely,
Rich A. Munson
cc: George V.
