CAVDA \o. 2 r
i 013,19 -0001 , 11uddiv [I -t)rm
{15W/141 ;a; •, .., . z <<
Discussion
As indicated in the referenced report, the stability of CWDA No. 2 is sensitive to increases in
pore pressures in VVL'P -08. An increase in the bore pressure of 3 psi in VWP -08 Nvould result in
a reduction of the Factor of Safety to below 1.5.
As indicated in the monitoring data, very slight increases in pore pressures were reported it)
VWP -09 and VWP -10. However, no change was observed in VWP -08. In addition, the pore
pressures in VWP -05 and VWP -06 showed a slight decrease over the one month period.
In general, based upon the results of the recent pore pressure monitoring data, HBE,T does not
believe that there is any reduction in the stability of CWDA No, 2. However, in accordance with
DBMS guidance, HBET will continue to cotaduct monthly monitoring of the piezometers for the
next several months in alt effort to detect any pore Pressure increases which may adversely
impact the stability of CWDA No. 2 resulting from waste placement operations.
We are pleased to be of service to your project.
