William A. Bear
April 30, 2014
retained, the Structure Detail must be revised to be consistent with the Subwatershed
Hydrology Detail output.
8. The Division has reviewed the reclamation cost estimate provided by BRL, and has the
following comments:
a. BRL did not include increased costs for the reclamation of the enlarged Pond D. Please
provide a revised backfiii volume estimate, the proposed storage location (during the
operational phase) for material excavated to expand the pond, and a revised cost
estimate for reclamation of the enlarged pond.
b. BRL is requesting credits for removal of the unnamed culvert into Pond D and for Culvert C-
F4. Reviewing the currently approved reclamation cost estimate, Task 165, we do not find
where these culverts were included in the cost estimate, so a credit for the removal would
not be appropriate. Please remove the request for credit for demolition of the unnamed
culvert and Culvert C -F4.
c. BRL is requesting a credit for removal of Culvert C -G2, listed as an 18" diameter culvert, 46'
long. Task 165 of the currently approved reclamation cost estimate lists this culvert as 12"
diameter and 40' long; this diameter is consistent with the currently approved page Exh 8-
31. Please revise the request for credit for demolition of Culvert C -G2 to be consistent with
the dimensions in currently approved reclamation Task 165.
d. BRL includes costs for removing a 4' x 4' concrete box structure at the outlet of Culvert C-
G5. Please provide additional information on the dimensions of the structure, including
the thickness of the concrete, and the number of faces /sides on the structure.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Susan L.
