Apri122, 2014 C- 1996 -083 /Bowie No. 2 Mine SLB <br />compactor were working on the upper bench. <br />• Areas previously graded and compacted appeared to be stable. <br />• Cover material stockpiled on Bench 42 was stable. <br />• Ditches were dry and appeared to be clear of refuse material. <br />Gob Pile 43: <br />• An excavator, compactor, and bulldozer were working on the central portion of the refuse area, and an <br />excavator was working on the northwest end of the drying area. <br />• The material in the drying area appeared to be very wet, the flow patterns of the dumped material were <br />indicative of a slurry -like consistency. <br />• All ditches appeared to be clear of refuse material, and no standing water was observed on the pile. <br />• It did not appear that any cover material was being hauled into the refuse area for blending. <br />Gob Pile #4: <br />• Ditches were dry and appeared to be clear. <br />• The cover material stockpile on the upper bench was stable, material from the toe of the pile appeared to <br />be clear of the bench drainage collection ditch. <br />ROADS— Rule 4.03, Construction 4.03.1(3)14.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)14.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.03.1(5) and (6)14.03.2(5) and (6), Reclamation 4.03.1(7)14.03.2(7): <br />Roads appeared to be dry. The intersection of the Gob Pile 43 road and Bowie road had a swath of refuse /gravel <br />mix deposited by truck traffic.
