NORTH STAR PIT 112 RECLAMATION PERMIT APPLICATION <br />EXHIBIT C — PRE - MINING AND MINING PLAN MAP <br />See attached. <br />EXHIBIT D — MINING PLAN <br />(a) Description of the method(s) of mining to be employed in each stage of the <br />operation as related to any surface disturbance on affected lands; <br />This site has been mined under an approved 110 permit since 2012. It is being converted <br />to a 112 Reclamation permit due to a slight increase in acreage. The total permitted area <br />will now be approximately 12.55 acres. Mining began in the southern portion of the site <br />and will proceed north. <br />(b) Earthmoving; <br />Scrapers stripped the topsoil and overburden material and stockpiled them separately <br />along the northern and eastern perimeters of the property for use during site reclamation. <br />Any excess material not needed for reclamation may be sold or hauled off -site during the <br />life of the mine. The topsoil will be seeded if it is left undisturbed for more than one <br />growing season. <br />The site will be mined in one phase using scrapers, bulldozers, front -end loaders, <br />excavators, or similar type equipment. Material excavated in this mine area will be <br />transported by haul truck to the south end of the site for processing. The material will be <br />crushed and stockpiled on the south portion of the site. <br />The operator may import material from other sites. The applicant is aware that in <br />accordance with Rule 3.1.5(9) of the Construction Material Rules and Regulations, if any <br />offsite material is used as backfill, a notarized letter will be submitted to the Division <br />indicating the materials are inert. The applicant will supply such a letter to the Division if, <br />at the time of Reclamation, the applicant intends to use off -site material as backfill. <br />(c) All water diversions and impoundments; and <br />It is not anticipated that this operation will impact surface or groundwater. A water truck <br />will be assigned to the site when in operation for dust control. Water will be sourced from <br />an industrial well leased by the operator approximately 2 miles north in Wyoming. An <br />estimated 6,000 gallons per day will be used for dust control. <br />Stormwater will be contained on site by berming the low side perimeter and directing water <br />through a culvert. Stormwater will be controlled on site and released in a controlled <br />manner to not damage off site areas in accordance with the operation's stormwater <br />management plan. <br />North Star Pit 112 Reclamation Permit 3 1 P a g e <br />
