Attachment 2013 -D contains grazing allotment estimates. This form is copied from the
USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, National Range & Pasture Handbook
1997. This worksheet serves as a guide for the irrigated pasture sections of the Permit
Area for grazing and gives a general idea of what forage is available. The properties
are reviewed while grazing activities are in progress. During the grazing operation a
visual determination is then made with the bovine owner, farm contractor, and Western
Fuels personnel to make sure the properties are being grazed for maximum efficiency
while minimizing damage to the fields. The above referenced areas are depicted in
Exhibit 2013 -15. Approximately 149 acres were grazed on the NH2 Permit area. Due to
overlaps in grazing, information from the prior year may be included on the Exhibit. As
noted above, some areas have not been grazed in the 2013 -2014 season. Several are
scheduled in the first quarter of 2014 and will be available on the 2014 Annual
Reclamation Report. An unknown quantity of deer and elk has frequented the area
throughout the year browsing and grazing.
Irrigation
Attachment 2013 -C contains the monthly farm contractor reports that detail the related
activities such as grazing, seeding, irrigation, etc. The CC Ditch Company commenced
water deliveries on April 18th at approximately 70 percent.
