A temporary Concrete Washout structure will be used during
construction, however, washout water will be contained on -site, will not be discharged into
surface waters and appropriate BMPs will be used. If dewatering of mining operations becomes
warranted, Liberty Mine LLC. will apply for coverage and comply with the conditions of the
General Permit for Construction Dewatering Activities.
1.8 Receiving Water Identification
The following information is based on a review of the "Liberty Mine Drainage Report", Souder,
Miller & Associates January 2014. Drainage from the site includes a combination of sheet flows
and concentrated runoff from upslope. The flows head East/ Southeast/ Northeast, onto the mesa
below. Drainage then continues flowing downslope until reaching the Dolores River
approximately 8,540 feet east of the site.
2.0 Site Maps
Figure 1: BMP Locations: Along Access Road
Figure 2: BMP Locations: Mining Site Plan
Figure 3: Vicinity and Location Map
The site maps are included in this SWMP and can be found in Appendix A
3.0 Stormwater Management Controls
3.1 SWMP Administrator
Michael D.
