Mine portal coordinates are as follows: Latitude 380 36' 36.63" N, Longitude 108° 58' 4.06" <br />1.2 Sequence of Major Activities <br />Construction Activities will include the following: <br />• Placement of the BMPs on the hillside below the roadway and around the <br />operation area, <br />• Grading and shaping of the entrance road, <br />• Installation of culverts in the entrance road, <br />• Construction of the BMP's for controlling culvert flows. i.e. rock check dams and <br />energy dissipaters at culvert discharge points, <br />• Building of the stormwater retention ponds in the operations area, <br />• Grading of the operations area, <br />• Grading of the ore stockpile area in preparation of building concrete pad, <br />• Lining of the drainage pond, <br />• Construction/casting of the concrete ore stockpile pad, <br />• Shaping of the waste rock and soil stockpiles in preparation of receiving <br />additional waste rock and soil from the mining operation, <br />1.3 Estimate of Site Area <br />The surface area disturbance for the roadway area is approximately 1.23 acres, and surface area <br />disturbance for the operations area, in its entirety, is approximately 2.01 acres. <br />1.4 Soil Type /Erosion Potential <br />Soils in the area of the mine are described by the Web Soil Survey, provided by the Natural <br />Resource Conservation Service of the United States Department of Agricultural, as Bodot -Sili- <br />Rock outcrop complex and rock outcrop with 5 to 25% slopes. See Appendix C for the Web Soil <br />Survey results. <br />1.5 Site Vegetation <br />The percentage of vegetative cover before construction is estimated to be 25 to 40 percent. <br />Vegetation includes pinon juniper woodlands, forbs, sage and other brush and grasses.
