M 11
AMEC performed seventy -three (73) CQA Atterberg limits tests of SLF. The testing
frequency (approximately one test per 705 cubic yards) exceeded the minimum specified
testing frequency of one test per 5,000 cubic yards. The CQA Atterberg limits performed of
SLF met project specifications. The SLF CQA Atterberg limits results are summarized in
Table 7.
AMEC performed eleven (11) CQA Atterberg limits tests of DCF. The testing
frequency (approximately one test per 9,362 cubic yards) exceeded the minimum
specified testing frequency of one test per 20,000 cubic yards. The DCF CQA
Atterberg limits met project specifications, and the results are summarized in
Table 8.4.1.4 Proctor Compaction Tests
AMEC performed standard Proctor compaction tests of SF in order to compare in -place
densities and moisture contents with laboratory derived values of maximum dry density and
optimum moisture content. The majority of the SF contained more than 30 percent above
the % -inch sieve. Per Specification 2200 Section 3.06, SF containing more than 30 percent
above the % -inch sieve is placed using a method specification and cannot be tested using a
standard Proctor (due to the high rock content). Of the SF placed containing less than 30
percent above the % -inch sieve (approximately 128,400 cubic yards), AMEC performed six
(6) CQA standard Proctor compaction tests, resulting in one test per 21,400 cubic yards,
exceeding the testing frequency of one test per 50,000 cubic yards. The SF compaction test
results met project specifications and are presented in Appendix H -2 and summarized in
Table 5. CQC Proctor tests were not included in the Proctor testing frequency.
AMEC performed standard Proctor compaction tests of SLF in order to compare in -place
densities and moisture contents with laboratory derived values of maximum dry density and
optimum moisture content.
