Adequacy items are organized by the Rule in <br />which they pertain and /or the permit section the\, are in reference to. Below is a list of adequacy review questions <br />from the first adequacy review and additional adequacy questions if applicable. For each of the adequacy questions, <br />Trappers response is included and the statuses of the items are noted. <br />Rule 2.04; Minimum Requirements for Information on Environmental Resources: <br />2.04.3 Site Description and Land Use Information: <br />1. Section 2.05 of the permit application discusses pre -mine land uses. Rule 2.04.3(2) requires the application <br />to contain a statement of the condition, capability and productivity of the land within the proposed permit <br />area. Please amend section 2.05 as necessary for the new acreage to be added to the permit area. <br />a. Division's Response: This item is resolved. <br />2. Please submit a map in accordance with Rule 2.043(2)(a) that depicts the uses of land for the additional <br />permit acreage in accordance with the land use categories established in the land use definitions in Rule <br />1.04. <br />a. Trapper's Response: Map M28, referenced orI page 2 -170, is revised to include the additiorIall <br />permit acreage. All of the new acreage is uncluded 'II "Rangeland"° and "Wildlife Habutat land <br />uses. <br />b. Division's Response: Using the Web Soil Survey on the Natural Resources Conservation Service <br />website, the Division conducted a Farmland Classification check to determine if any area within the <br />PR7 expansion area could be considered prime farmland. It does not appear prime farmland areas <br />exist within the proposed expansion area. However, as a result of that inquiry, the Division <br />identified a soil unit (Unit 99; Hesperus Fine Sandy Loam) that has a rating of "Farmland of <br />Statewide Importance ". Enclosed with this letter are the results of the web soil survey for the <br />farmland classification of the PR7 expansion area. <br />Revised Map M28 – Lands Use Map (Identification of Lands Possibly Used for Farming Prior to <br />Mining), was revised and the permit boundary was updated. However, the layer depicting the land <br />use categories does not extend into the eastern portion of the expansion area.
