A CAT D -8 dozer, a CAT 320
excavator, a CAT 966 front -end loader, and tandem -axel haul trucks were used to excavate, haul,
and process the material.
Location
This Week
s
Cumulative
Comments
E Cresson Clay Processing
13,246
35,216
Comments
S Cresson Clay Processing
0
201,199
Processing in area complete.
Squaw Gulch Processing
0
35,816
Processing in area complete.
Total
13,246
265,620
2) Low Volume Solution Collection Fill Material ( LVSCF)
Processing of Low Volume Solution Collection Fill material continued at the Dump 4 LVSCF
Process. A CAT D -10 dozer and a skid steer loader were used to process the material.
G) Miscellaneous
No work was performed during the week.
III) Underground Workings
A) Drilling/Excavation
Confirmatory drilling was performed for Underground Working #3012. A drill pattern was set out
by an AMEC field representative. Sixty -one holes were dilled encountering thirty-six voids. An
approximate total of 3050 feet was drilled. An AMEC representative observed the confirmatory
drilling constantly.
B) Mine Shaft /Stope Remediation
Grouting of miss (no void) holes was performed at Underground Workings #3012.
Remediation of Underground Workings #3006/ #3007 continued with the placement of the
concrete plug. Approximately 100 cubic yards of 4000 -psi concrete was placed in the previously
prepared opening. The area inspected by an AMEC representative prior to concrete placement and
found to be constructed properly in competent and frost/ice free material. Two samples were
obtained randomly during concrete placement. Slump testing, air - entrainment testing, temperature
testing, and casting of five 6" x 12" cylinders was performed for each sample. All field properties
testing results were with in project specifications and performed in accordance with ASTM /ACI
standards. The cylinders cast will be transported to an off -site facility and tested for compressive
strength at specified curing ages.
VLF Weekly Report WE 03.06.10.D.doc
This Week
Location

Comments
(tons)
(tons)
Dump 4 LVSCF Processing
36,045
177,303
G) Miscellaneous
No work was performed during the week.
III) Underground Workings
A) Drilling/Excavation
Confirmatory drilling was performed for Underground Working #3012.
