A CAT D -8
dozer and a CAT 980 front -end loader were used to process the material.
Location
Week
umulative
Comments
tons
(tons)
Dump 4 LVSCF Processing
32,508
60,321
H) ADR and Crusher Waterlines
Pipe trench excavation and bedding was performed throughout the week for the Crushing
waterline using a CAT 330 excavator and a CAT 966 front -end loader. The pipe bedding material
was moisture conditioned and compacted using the bucket of the CAT 330 excavator.
Approximately 150 linear feet of pipe trench was excavated and bedded during the week.
Approximately 150 linear feet of 10" HDPE pipe was installed in the Crushing waterline trench.
Preparations for ADR waterline tie -ins were performed throughout the week. Exposure of existing
waterlines was performed near stations A24 +00 ( + / -) and E22 +00 ( + / -).
The 10" HDPE ADR waterline was tied into the system near station A24 +00 ( + / -).
I) Miscellaneous
No work performed during the week.
III) Underground Workings
A) Drilling
Confirmation drilling was performed for Underground Workings #3009 and #3010. Drill patterns
were established by an AMEC representative around the workings on four -foot centers, per the
submitted remediation plan. Forty-nine holes were drilled for a approximate total 2450 feet. Two
voids were encountered at the Underground Working #3010 location identifying the Kitty Lane
shaft. John Lupo will submit a remediation plan for these workings.
B) Mine Shaft /Stope Remediation
The exposed portion of the crown pillar at Underground Workings #3006 and #3007 was collapsed
using a CAT 330 excavator attached with a rock hammer. A CAT 330 excavator was then used to
remove them material from the working. Material in the working seamed to be loose fill from
previous blasting. After reviewing notes from the confirmatory drilling in the area it was decided
to blast the remaining portion of the crown pillar.
The crown pillar at Underground Working #3006 and #3007 was blasted, collapsing the pillar. The
workings were inspected by AMEC representatives after blasting and the decision was made to lay
the perimeter of the working back and place a concrete plug in the working. John Lupo will submit
a remediation plan the workings.
C) Lateral/Slot Remediation
No work performed during the week.
VLF Weekly Report WE 01.16.IO.D.doc
