A drill pattern was set out
by an AMEC field representative. Twenty -five holes were drilled encountering ten voids. An
approximate total of 1250 feet was drilled. An AMEC representative observed the confirmatory
drilling constantly.
B) Mine Shaft /Stope Remediation
Grouting of miss (no void) holes was performed at Underground Workings #3012.
Collapsing of the crown pillar at Underground Working #3012 was performed by blasting
confirmatory drill holes (voids). Blasting was performed Wednesday (3/10/2010). The area was
inspected by an AMEC representative and approximately 8 feet of elevation difference was
noticed. A CAT 345 excavator was used to remove temporary fill material and native material
from the working, discovering the limits of the working. Excavation of the working will continue
next week.
C) Lateral/Slot Remediation
No work was performed during the week.
IV) Storm Water Management Structures
A) Control Structures
No work was performed during the week.
B) Best Management Practices
Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the Phase 5 VLF Project.
