2/26/2014 State.co.us Eecutive Branch Mail - Re: Williams Fork- Sage Grouse Question <br />As you will note, there is only one identified Sage Grouse lek location in the area (on the edge of Big Bottom <br />near the reclaimed Williams Fork Strip Pit), and Brian indicated that it had not been active in the last 15 <br />years. He also indicated that given the success of Sharp -Tail reestablishment on mine reclaim areas <br />(Twentymile and Trapper), he has no concerns about potential adverse mining impacts on Sharp - Tails. Giver <br />this information, it doesn't appear that a Section 7 consultation would be necessary or appropriate for the <br />renewal.
