i
40
1 aspects of the topsoil handling and the
2 revegetation.
3 And that alfalfa plan for the
4 cropland is a detailed 10 -year plan year by year
5 that we worked out with the NRCS and with the
6 Morgans that year one you plant this and you do
7 this; and then in the fall you do this; and year
8 two, three, and four you do this; and year five you
9 replow.
10 And it's an extremely detailed plan
11 that was worked out. And in addition to that, there
12 are very detailed procedures of how you monitor this
13 and how it goes through the whole 10 -year process.
14 And another thing that is important
15 to note on this prime farmland and cropland on the
16 Morgan property is that we have a fixed standard of
17 1.84 tons an acre in the first cut on that cropland.
18 And in working with the NRCS local
19 office for years now, they have said that that is a
20 high standard. That is not going to be easy to
21 meet. And with prime farmland we have to meet that
22 standard in year 8, 9 and 10.
23 So it's not in the company's interest
24 to try and skimp on the topsoil, to try and do
25 something wrong, to, you know, try and cut a corner
