Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
PSES Pipe Rack Liner Extension
Final Report ameO
Quality Assurance Monitoring &Test Results
February 4, 2014
3.0 GEOSYNTHETICS INSTALLATION
Geosynthetics installed for the PSES Pipe Rack Liner Extension consisted of GCL and
geomembrane. GCL was used on this project to provide a low permeability layer
underneath the geomembrane. The geomembrane utilized on this project was an 80-
mil double -sided textured LLDPE geomembrane.
3.1 PSES Pipe Rack Liner Extension System
Geomembrane installation activities for the PSES Pipe Rack Liner Extension system
included deployment, seaming, and non - destructive and destructive testing of 80 -mil
double -sided textured LLDPE geomembrane to project specifications. ECA deployed
panels P1 through P13 as part of the primary liner system in the certified area
(approximately 9,690 square feet), as shown in Figure 2.
Geomembrane was placed on top of a layer of GCL to create the composite liner
system as shown in Detail 5 of IFC Drawing A120. Sheet 2 of 2 in Appendix A
presents the PSES Pipe Rack Liner Extension geomembrane panel layout for the
geomembrane layer. Ames anchored geomembrane at the limits of the PSES Pipe
Rack Liner Extension with an anchor trench a minimum of 2- foot -deep by 2- foot -wide.
