ameO <br /> 3. CONTRACTOR shall protect geomembrane from excessive heat, cold, puncture, cutting, <br /> or other damaging or deleterious conditions. <br /> 4. CONTRACTOR shall ensure personnel responsible for loading, transport and unloading <br /> of geomembrane are fully aware of the consequences of damage to geomembrane, and are <br /> familiar with handling and transport constraints imposed by MANUFACTURER. <br /> B. Acceptance at Site <br /> 1. CQA Monitor shall perform inventory and surface inspection for defects and damage of all <br /> geomembrane rolls upon delivery. <br /> 2. CONTRACTOR shall unroll and inspect any geomembrane roll that may be damaged <br /> below surface. <br /> 3. CONTRACTOR shall repair damage resulting from handling and transport of <br /> geomembranes at no additional cost to CC&V. If irreparable, in the opinion of <br /> CERTIFYING ENGINEER, damaged materials shall be replaced at no additional cost to <br /> CC&V. <br /> C. Storage and Protection <br /> 1. MANAGER will provide area for on-site storage of the geomembrane rolls from time of <br /> delivery until installation. <br /> 2. The storage and handling of the materials is the responsibility of CONTRACTOR from the <br /> time the materials are manufactured until the time the completed installation is accepted. <br /> CONTRACTOR is responsible for preparing the storage location and for the protection of <br /> the materials from the elements(e.g.ultraviolet light,moisture,temperature,etc.). <br /> 3. After CONTRACTOR has removed material from storage,CONTRACTOR shall protect <br /> geomembrane from puncture, dirt, grease, water, moisture, mud, mechanical abrasion, <br /> excessive heat,and other sources of damage. <br /> 4. CONTRACTOR shall preserve integrity and readability of the geomembrane roll labels, <br /> and store the rolls such that MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER have access to <br /> the package slips or roll labels for each roll to verify roll acceptance. <br /> 5. The rolls shall be stored on a prepared surface (not wooden pallets) and should not be <br /> stacked more than two rolls high. <br /> 1.05 SITE CONDITIONS <br /> A. Geomembrane Deployment <br /> 1. Do not proceed with deployment at an ambient temperature below 14' F or above 100'F <br /> unless otherwise authorized, in writing, by MANAGER, DESIGN ENGINEER, and <br /> CERTIFYING ENGINEER. Temperature monitoring shall be performed by the CQA <br /> Monitor. <br /> 2.
