provide any pertinent vegetation reports to DRMS, BLM, and OSMRE. While direct numerical
measurements of the vegetation were not possible during this inspection (due to snow cover),
there was a significant amount of visible natural/seasonal die -off from the vegetation present at
the end of the 2013 growing season. Present along the acreage under consideration for Routt
County, a large excess material pile also had natural/seasonal visible vegetative die -off from
2013. Routt County plans to keep this pile at its current location. As we walked southeast, the
evidence of vegetation (again, natural/seasonal vegetation die -off as described above) appeared
to be present on all appropriate acreage under this bond release, including within the planned
permanent stock pond present on the private land portion of this bond release evaluation. This
stock pond, however, is not present on the map or within the description provided in the SL -5
bond release application package. No significant rills or gullies were seen across the entire
parcel under this bond release consideration, although the snow may have obscured some
erosion.
Please address any questions concerning this report to Daniel MacKinnon, Natural Resources
Specialist, dmackinnon @osmre.gov or (303) 293 -5011.
