Weather conditions were clear; there was patchy
snow cover on the ground.
The mine is active, producing coal from the B seam. There are three active gob piles ( 42, 43, and 44) open at this
time.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 ❑ Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,
4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water
Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;
Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Ponds B, C, D, F, and J held water and were frozen and snow covered. The temporary stockpile of cover material on bench 2/3 appeared to be
stable, and the toe of the material was set back from ditch D -F6.
Gob was being placed on Gob Pile 43. The west end drying area of the pile contained end dumped gob material,
and it did not appear to have been recently handled. Gob was being end dumped in the central area of the pile,
over the newly installed underdrain, as far east as the cover fill stockpile ramp. Refuse material was being shaped
along the toe of the pile, parallel to ditch D -J3.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 10
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 2 of 4
