Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On -site <br />N - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br />NA - Processing Waste N - Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />A partial inspection was conducted by Rob Zuber of DRMSonJanuary 15, 2014and January 16, 2014. The <br />Colowyo employees who participated in the field inspection were Kurtis Blunt and Steve Gilmer.The weatherwas <br />clear on both days.The ground wascovered with snow over much of the mine site, with some drifts of <br />approximately two to three feet.The temperatures were warm enough for minor snowmelt. <br />Little activity was seen in either the South Taylor Pit or the West Pit. These pits were inspected on Thursday, <br />which is typically a non - production day for maintenance. <br />BACKFILL and GRADING — Rule 4.14 <br />Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br />Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.143; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br />In the West Pit, the 103 dragline was idle. <br />EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE — Rule 4.09 <br />Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br />The West Pit Fill was viewed from the pond below it, and no erosion or other problems were identified. <br />EXPLOSIVES — Rule 4.08 <br />Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4: <br />For two blasts in the West Pit (F overburden and then coal), an inspection site was selected that is a little <br />more than a half mile from the blasts.
