Natural Soda, Inc. Directional Well Summary Report Recovery Well 10H -1V Prepared by Daub & Associates, Inc. Grand Junction, CO for Natural Soda, Inc. Introduction The Natural Soda, Inc. (NSI) 10H -1V Recovery Well was a directionally - drilled slant well located near the depositional center of the Piceance Creek Basin in northwestern Colorado. The surface hole is located on the NSI Federal Sodium Lease (Serial No. C- 0118327) in the SW quarter of the SE quarter of Section 26, Township 1 South, Range 98 West, 61h P.M. in Rio Blanco County, Colorado. The well is located at 39.928386 degrees North latitude (Lat) and 108.357516 degrees West longitude (Long), referenced to NAD 27. The as -built surveyed ground elevation (GL) was 6,695.1 feet above mean sea level (MSL); the Kelly Bushing (KB) elevation was 6,706.1 feet MSL. Depths mentioned in the text are reported relative to KB. All depths referenced below the kick -off point (KOP) are measured depth (MD) values, referenced to KB. The 10H Upper Boies Bed (UBB) horizontal mining interval was originally developed with the 10H -I injection well and the 10H -R recovery well. In this area, the UBB is a 21- to 23- foot thick bed of mostly pure white crystalline nahcolite (sodium bicarbonate) found in the L -5 stratigraphic zone of the Parachute Creek Member of the Green River Formation. The 10H -1 and 10H -R wells were originally completed in 2009 and were interconnected a short distance beyond the intermediate casing points. Issues with the 10H cavity production were noted and mining in the 10H cavity stopped in June 2011. Unsuccessful remediation efforts took place between July 2011 and February 2012. Unsuccessful sidetracks were attempted in June 2012. The plan to construct the 10H -1V well was submitted and BLM approval was received in March 2013.
