indicates that there will be a berm around each stockpile, but there is no further
information regarding sediment control. To comply with Rule 4.05.2(1), this drainage must
be passed through a sediment pond or other approved treatment facility (silt fence, straw
wattle, etc.), or be exempted under Rule 4.05.2(3). Please either revise the drainage plans
to route drainage from the East and West Topsoil stockpiles to Pond J, provide design
information for alternate sediment control structures for these stockpiles, or demonstrate
that the stockpile area disturbance is eligible for exemption from Rule 4.05.2(1) under
Rule 4.05.2(3). (Rules 4.05.2(1) and 4.05.2(3))
23. The table on page App. B -2 of Volume XI indicates that the design flow for Culvert J1 is 0.3 cfs.
The Sedcad run, on page B -33 shows a flow of 20.92 cfs; the Structure detail sheet on page B-
26 is based on 20.33 cfs. Please revise pages App. 8 -2, 8 -26, and 8 -33 for consistent flows for
Culvert J1.
24. The table on page App. B -2 of Volume XI does not show the 12" rip rap that is specified for
Ditches J9 and J11 on the designs presented on pages App. B -51, App. B -53, and Map 18.
Please revise the table on page App. a -2 so that the specifications for Ditches J9 and J11 are
consistent with the designs on page App. 8 -51 and App. 8 -53.
25. We are unable to locate supporting calculations or design information for the Culvert J9 sizing.
Please provide supporting calculations for the 24" double barrel configuration proposed for
Culvert J9 on page 8 -2 of VolumeXl. (Rule 2.05.3(4)(a)(ii))
26. Page App. B -7 provides details on Pond J dewatering. The first line of this section lists the "As-
Built Water Volume ". This looks like it refers to the volume of runoff generated by the 10 -yr
storm, and should be labeled as such. Please revise the Pond J Dewatering section of page
App. 8 -7 to indicate that the 2.18 ac ft figure is the 10 -yr storm runoff volume.
27. Page App. B -20 of Volume XI includes design information for Ditch J14. The discharge value
used to design the channel is 0.33 cfs. Page App. B -32 indicates that the discharge value for
Ditch J14 (Structure #16) is 1.49 cfs. Please revise the Ditch J14 design to be consistent with
the discharge shown on page App 8 -32.
28. Page App. B -26 of Volume XI includes design information for Culvert J1. The discharge value
used to design the culvert is 20.33 cfs. Page App. B -33 indicates that the discharge value for
Culvert J1 (Structure #2) is 20.92 cfs. Please revise the Culvert J1 design to be consistent with
the discharge shown on page App 8 -33.
29. Page App. B -27 of Volume XI includes design information for Culvert J2. The discharge value
used to design the culvert is 21.48 cfs. Page App. B -33 indicates that the discharge value for
Culvert J2 (Structure #3) is 22.07 cfs. Please revise the Culvert J2 design to be consistent with
the discharge shown on page App 8 -33.
30. Pages App. B -66 - 68 indicate that the 100 -yr runoff from Drainage Area D is 11.64 cfs, and the
10 -yr event is 3.47 cfs. BRL has provided a Sedcad run for the Drainage Area D 10 —yr event
(beginning on page App. 8 -25), but we do not see any documentation for the 100 -yr event.
